An excellent immunostimulator, isoprinosine is also composed of powerful antiviral properties so that they make excellent medication for treating acute and chronic viral infections. The active ingredient present in Isoprinosine is methisoprinol that is a non-toxic immune system that is highly effective in treating various types of infectious diseases like hepatitis, herpes simplex, eruptive infancy diseases etc. This drug functions on the immune system by restoring the impaired cell-mediated immune response to be lowered, while improving the humoral immune response. Side effects of Isoprinosine include: dizziness, problems with digestion and itching. If any allergic reactions occur while taking this medicine, that should be informed to your doctor immediately. Pregnant women or those who are planning to become pregnant are prohibited to use this medicine. Breast feeding mothers should also avoid taking this drug as it can be excreted via milk and cause health hazards to the baby.
